It's about the people, it’s about being a resource to our community, and it’s about building purposeful connections to our business community, says Roberts, when asked what has inspired him to practice in a small town for over 30 years. This devotion to the health and quality of life for their community has led to many additions in the facility, staff, and services they offer.

Deer Park Physical Therapy now boasts a staff of 12 practitioners, including specialists in Osteopractic Care, Orthopedics, Custom Orthotics, Aquatic Therapy, Lymphedema, Athletic Training and Prenatal/Postpartum Care. In 2018, they partnered with Evidence in Motion to provide an Orthopaedic Residency program for Physical Therapists to become Board Certified Orthopaedic Specialists.

Not just a physical Therapy clinic, Deer Park Physical Therapy & Fitness Center also encompasses a full gym and pool which is open to the community. The gym offers exciting fitness classes like Zumba, Boot Camps, and Pilates. Their Certified Personal Trainers are a great resource to anyone who is training for an event or just wanting to look and feel their best. The pool invites all ages and skill levels to enjoy this welcoming environment all year round. The hospitable staff provides Private Swimming Lessons, Group Swimming Lessons, fun and social Water Aerobics classes and even Aquatic Personal Training for those who want to increase their activity level in a very low impact environment.

The trained and diligent staff at the front desk work with most commercial insurances, L&I, Auto Insurances, VA and Medicare plans to get patients the care they need with as little out of pocket expense as possible. With their knowledge and insight, their billing specialists are an excellent resource to help you to understand your insurance, regardless of whether you are a patient or a member of the community. “Our ties to the community are strong,” says Bev Roberts, Administrative Assistant. “We host Blood Drives, a weekly Community Bike Ride in the summer, we’ve hosted the Round About 5Kfun run for seven years and our Athletic Trainers volunteer their services to the coaching staff at the High School.”

Deer Park Physical Therapy first opened in 1981. Mary Hindman, PT, started out using one small room in the local Deer Park hospital. Dan Roberts, PT, DPT joined Mary in 1983. Later, Dan became the sole owner in 1995.

Deer Park Physical Therapy grew to a 2000 square feet clinic in 1990 located in the Old City Hall building on Crawford Street. In 2010, Deer Park Physical Therapy moved to its current location, 707 S Park Street Deer Park, WA. The clinic has approximately 3500 square feet.

In 2012, Deer Park Physical Therapy added a 2000 square foot Fitness Center, which is open to the public. This allowed for the addition of fitness classes including Pilates, Zumba, Women’s Fitness, Senior Fitness, Body Conditioning

The Pool was opened in June 2017 adding an additional 3,000 square feet for aquatic therapy and public use with Swim Lessons and Water Aerobic classes.

In January 2019, The Gym was opened and provides physical therapy, strength and conditioning and personal training to athletes and those wishing to have a competitive edge. The Gym has a robust class schedule including weight training, Boot Camps, and group programs specific to a business or industry.

Deer Park Physical Therapy employs 12 Physical Therapists and Physical Therapy Assistants with a business-wide staff of 35 employees.
