The Fitness Center Class Descriptions 2019

CLASSES:

Silver Sneakers Circuit: We combine Cardio-Respiratory Training with Strength Training in a circuit/interval style format. There is an additional focus on balance and coordination. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level, and you instructor can adapt the exercises depending on your skill.

Silver Sneakers Boom Muscle: Increase muscle strength and boost overall fitness with an added focus on agility, balance, and coordination. Participants must have a good sense of balance, the physical ability to do moderately vigorous aerobic activity, and be able to get down on the floor and back up without assistance.

Women’s Strength:  Improve your strength, lose weight, and tone your body in our women’s strength training class. Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate, or the advance athlete, resistance training is one of the best ways to tone up and lean out! See you there, ladies!

Zumba: Active adults want excitement, camaraderie and healthy activities as part of their weekly schedule. The Zumba program here at Deer Park Fitness Center gives you just that with exciting world rhythms and easy-to-follow moves at just the right pace. It also creates bonds and friendships that keep you coming back. Come to our facility and experience a new and exciting kind of cardiovascular exercise with our certified Zumba instructor Elizabeth Gillam

Active Adult Circuit: This class provides body conditioning, light endurance and resistance training while targeting specific muscle groups and building endurance.  The class will participate and move from exercise to exercise with short rest periods between each exercise. Come and enjoy this fun and energetic class! 

Beginning Senior Fitness: Beginning senior fitness is a class consisting of low impact, low intensity, cardiovascular strength and relaxation exercise. The class is recommended for clients who have little or no experience in regular senior exercise classes. Come join the fun and learn!

Pilates: If you are looking for a class that incorporates low impact, functional movements with improving your posture, core strength, and stability, PILATES is for you! This class is for all fitness levels, but you must be able to get on and off the floor, you will learn how to coordinate your breath with strengthening and lengthening the muscles of the body for improved posture, alignment, balance, core strength, and positive body awareness. Ask the front desk about pricing!
