Custom Orthotics
Foot orthotics are shoe inserts which are placed into your shoes to help cushion heel strike forces, support your arch, and provide proper foot and leg alignment. There are different types of orthotics, and materials used to make them. Our Physical Therapists at Deer Park Physical Therapy are trained in evaluating your feet and recommending if an orthotic would be a good option for you to consider.
Many Kinds of Orthotics:
Over-the-counter: Generic inserts which usually fit a normally proportioned foot. These are the least expensive and are often thought of as an arch support.
Custom Orthotics: Individually made from a casting of your foot. They are more expensive, but provide for a much better fit, along with much better foot support and comfort.
