We use a team approach with innovative techniques and interventions to optimize your outcomes and achieve your therapeutic goals.    We will give you the education and tools to maintain your function and reclaim your lifestyle.  


Injured Worker:

If you are injured at work and are unable to return to your job of injury, we can help you get back as soon as possible.  We work as a team to develop personalized interventions based on patient’s needs and goals to allow for a timely return to work and recreational activity.  Treatments may consist of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and activities, and ergonomics training.

Vestibular Rehab:

Vestibular rehabilitation is a therapeutic approach to reduce the effects of impaired balance, decreased equilibrium, and dizziness associated with vestibular dysfunction.  We develop specific exercises designed to decrease dizziness, increase balance and function and improve visual motor control.


Motor Vehicle Accidents:

Motor vehicle accidents can cause serious injury resulting in pain and dysfunction in many areas of the body including neck, low back and extremities.  Our highly trained therapy team will assess the source of functional limitations and direct therapeutic intervention to decrease pain, increase range of motion and improve strength and motor control.  Our goal is to get you back to pain free living and restore your previous quality of life.

Cardiopulmonary:

If you are on oxygen, or suffer from a breathing problem such as emphysema, asthma, chronic bronchitis or pulmonary fibrosis, physical therapy could help significantly improve your quality of life.  
We implement a plan of care designed to help to address moderate to severe breathing problems and help you overcome your physical limitations associated with pulmonary dysfunction.  

Physical therapy will improve your endurance and give you strategies to be more active with less difficulty resulting in more energy and improved tolerance to carrying out activities of daily living.

Cardiac physical therapy focuses on evaluation and treatment of both cardiovascular disorders and post cardiac surgeries with an emphasis on regaining activity tolerance and independence.  Cardiac rehabilitation in the outpatient setting is often indicated discharge from a rehabilitation setting such as St. Luke’s in Spokane.


Cancer:

You will receive one on one care that focuses on holistic health and healing.  We will work with you during and proceeding cancer treatments to restore function, to improve energy levels and decrease pain to allow you to return to the activities you enjoy most.

Manual Therapy:

Orthopedic manual therapy is a skilled hands-on approach to physical therapy using specific techniques to treat musculoskeletal conditions.  Manual treatment is beneficial for decreasing pain, improving joint mobility and range of motion, and for neuromuscular retraining.  Manual techniques are often indicated to treat low back pain, neck pain, sacroiliac dysfunction, and pain and dysfunction to joints of the extremities following injuries and surgeries.


Neurorehabilitation:

Part of neurorehabilitation involves physical therapy that is aimed to aid in recovery from a nervous system injury such as a stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Post-Polio syndrome, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and Meniere’s disease.  Our goal is to help you live a more normal, active and independent life by improving mobility and function to carry out day to day activities of living.

Work Conditioning:

Our Work Conditioning Program focuses on preparing patients for a safe return to work after an injury.  The program includes injury specific strengthening and endurance exercises as well as ergonomic training, instruction for proper body mechanics and lifting techniques, and work simulated tasks.  We evaluate the whole patient and educate them on strategies to prevent future work injuries.


SASTM:

The SASTM method is a form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques for treating soft tissue injuries and dysfunction.  This leading-edge, non-invasive treatment is performed with ergonomically designed instruments that allow the therapist to stimulate the your own capacity for healing when dealing with soft tissue degeneration, fibrosis, or chronic inflammation.

Orthotics:

Foot orthotics are fitted shoe inserts that help cushion heel strike forces, support your arch and provide proper foot and leg alignment.  Our Physical Therapists are trained in evaluating your feet and recommending if an orthotic would be appropriate for you to consider.  
We offer over the counter orthotics or custom fitted orthotics from which to choose. 

  • Over the counter orthotics: Generic inserts designed to fit your specific foot type.  These are inexpensive and can be dispensed the same day your foot is evaluated.  
  • Custom orthotics: Individually made using a casting of your foot. They are typically more expensive than over the counter orthotics but provide a much better support and comfort.  Some insurances may cover a portion or all of expenses for custom orthotics. 

Kinesio Taping:

The Kinesio Taping Method is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motions.  It is used to successfully treat a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and medical conditions.  Kinesio Taping Method aligns with the muscles in a way that reduces pain and inflammation, relaxes overuse muscles, and supports muscles in their normal motion and movement, and allows for full range of motion.
Kinseio Tape is indicated for a long list of ailments from headaches to carpal tunnel syndrome, low back pain, knee and shoulder injuries, whiplash, tennis elbow, ankle sprains and preventatively as a support method

Women's Health:

Women’s health issues involve certain conditions such as breast cancer and mastectomies, incontinence, post abdominal and pelvic surgeries and many other diagnoses that may require physical therapy.  We encourage women to utilize the services we provide to help restore their function and independence.  We will design a program that will accommodate each person’s needs with the highest level of individualized care and privacy.  


Temporomandibular Joint:

TMJ disorder is a dysfunction of the muscles and joints that move the jaw.  Our highly trained therapists will evaluate your jaw and upper quarter and focus treatment to decrease your pain and allow for normal movement.

Sports Injury:

If you are a high level competitive athlete, work out freak, or weekend warrior, we can help you following an injury.  Our therapist are trained to evaluate and treat a wide variety of sports injuries including sprains and strains, tendonitis, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, and therapy following fractures.  You will undergo a series of functional assessment screenings to develop a plan that will improve your strength and motor control and decrease your chance of re-injury.  


Lymphedema:

Lymphedema is a condition of localized fluid retention and tissue swelling caused by a compromised lymphatic system.  People with Lymphedema can be at risk for infection.  When being treated for lymphedema, your therapist will work closely with you to determine the proper course of treatment including: 

  • Manual techniques to decrease swelling 
  • Compression and wrapping techniques to keep swelling from returning
  • Exercises to activate muscle pumping to facilitate edema decongestion
  • Education for self-care techniques to manage symptoms after therapy
