Active Release Technique (ART)
ART is a manual therapy technique using targeted pressure and active movement to address soft-tissue restrictions, improve tissue mobility, and restore functional movement.
Aquatic Physical Therapy
Aquatic therapy uses buoyancy, warm water, hydrostatic pressure, and water resistance to reduce pain and joint stress while improving mobility, balance, circulation, and strength. The reduced weight-bearing environment allows patients to safely initiate and progress movement earlier, while building confidence and function.
Athletic Training
Prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries. Their scope includes injury prevention and screening, clinical assessment, emergency and acute care, therapeutic intervention, rehabilitation, reconditioning, and return-to-activity planning, consistent with state practice laws and healthcare protocols.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)
BFR Rehabilitation uses controlled vascular occlusion with low-load exercise to improve strength, muscle development, and endurance while minimizing stress on joints and healing tissues. It can benefit post-surgical, injured, deconditioned, and athletic/tactical populations, particularly when heavy resistance is not appropriate. Treatment is individualized and monitored based on patient needs, goals, and recovery stage.
Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation provides individualized breathing, conditioning, strengthening, and energy-conservation strategies to improve endurance, activity tolerance, and functional independence in patients with respiratory conditions or deconditioning.
Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy is a form of myofascial decompression that uses suction to unload soft-tissue layers and may promote blood flow, lymphatic exchange, pain modulation, and soft-tissue mobility, supporting movement and recovery.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a skilled physical therapy intervention using thin, solid filiform needles to stimulate myofascial trigger points, muscles, and connective tissues to reduce pain and improve movement.
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
IASTM is a non-invasive manual therapy technique using specialized instruments to address soft-tissue restrictions, adhesions, scar tissue, fibrosis, and chronic inflammation. It aims to improve tissue mobility, range of motion (ROM), pain, and functional movement.
Kinesio Taping
Kinesio Taping is an adjunctive rehabilitation technique used to support movement, proprioception, and neuromuscular control while helping manage pain and edema. It can provide muscle and joint support while maintaining functional range of motion (ROM) and may be used for a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.
The Recovery Lab
The Recovery Lab utilizes pneumatic compression, heat, and vibration to support venous and lymphatic circulation, reduce exercise-related soreness and edema, improve soft-tissue mobility and range of motion, and facilitate rehabilitation and recovery.
The Titleist Performance Institute (TPI)
TPI is a movement-based assessment system that evaluates mobility, strength, balance, stability, and neuromuscular control as they relate to golf swing mechanics and injury risk. Findings guide individualized therapeutic and performance interventions to address movement impairments and optimize functional performance.
Work Injury
Our Physical Therapy and Athletic Training team provides individualized rehabilitation for work-related injuries, addressing functional limitations, job demands, and return-to-work goals. Work Conditioning uses progressive, work-simulated activities to improve strength, endurance, and functional capacity for tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, and walking, supporting a safe and timely return to work.
